Who we are
The Useful Company is a product and software studio run by Karan and Saumya, based in India. We decide how the personal data described here is used. For anything in this policy, write to saumya.x3@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you book a call: your name, email address, time zone and anything you write in the notes. The booking form is run by Cal.com on our behalf.
When you email us or message us on WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send.
When you visit the site: our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability. We also look up your approximate country from your IP address to show local examples and prices. We don't store that country.
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. Cal.com may set cookies that its booking form needs to work.
How we use it
To reply to you, hold the call you booked, prepare a scope and a price, and run a project if we work together. We also keep what tax and accounting law requires.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to do the above: Cal.com (scheduling), Vercel (hosting), our email provider, and WhatsApp when you message us there. Each handles your data under its own privacy terms. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and call notes: up to 24 months, unless they become a project. Project and invoice records: as long as Indian tax law requires. Server logs: as long as Vercel keeps them, which is usually a few days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw consent you gave earlier, and raise a complaint. Write to saumya.x3@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
